Matches Watched During Lunchtime Today: Kensuke Sasaki vs. Roderick Strong, El Generico vs. Taiji Ishimori, The Tokyo Summit.
Yeah. Back in the first posts in both September and October I was watching the various MurderCity Machine Guns tags from ROH, and I said something about these being the reason I'm not ashamed of being a pro wrestling fan. Add the Generico match to the list.
My jaw dropped a good six times during this one. The absolute precision both of them had - I'm guessing among my few wrestling-fan friends there'd be a good number of people who haven't seen it, but I can't even think of a possible name for some of those moves. Double pumphandle front backpack sitout brainbuster. Maybe. There is a running leg lariat that is a thing of beauty. Plus Ishimori's handspring move is absolutely frickin' awesome.
The Roderick/Sasaki match was good with odd spots. It was the little things; I don't know if it was from having a Japanese wrestler vs an American English speaker or what, but just a couple of weird sells and one or two moments where they consciously had to move to take something.
After work today I need to get:
- ama_exchange Secret Santa present
- Stickers, lots and lots of stickers, for holiday_wishes wishes.
- A box to fit the work Secret Santa present in. Martini shaker + raspberry flavour stuff + cocktail book + two Kinder Surprise eggs. She'll know who it is from the Kinders.
I'm wondering about a mood theme for this new permanent account. Now that would be spiffy.
I'm still loving the icons I scored from holiday_wishes. Punker icons, hell yeah!
