Back in high school I was an absolute slacker. Looking back on it now I am amazed that I didn't fail more than the one subject I did (Maths B).
I'm not going to say this is to blame, but what I wasted the most time on was writing. I would just write write write, both the bullet-points that somewhere had told me that writers should do, and fully formed sentences and situations.
Killing time at work today I stumbled upon some fantasy booking - a 'what if?' situation about CM Punk taking the Ring of Honor championship to WWE with him. About halfway through there was a scene where a few guys 'invade' a show. It brought up memory of the notebook I would constantly scribble in, and a story that had been created in the horrible point format - for a reason I cannot remember now, I made a good 50% of the Ring of Honor roster invade a WWE Raw. And it's like there's a dirty fingerprint over my memory of it - I remember I had one awesome line from Colt Cabana re: Jimmy Rave. And I can't remember specifics.
That notebook would be well and truly be gone, stuffed into a bin somewhere between 2006-now, but I miss inspiration, and I dislike being unable to read these things and maybe adapt them into something I could be writing now.
