I've suddenly come to a screeching halt on Concepts of Reality.

The original idea was, believe it or not, to get Blake's character straight in my head. To me, he's very much a straight-up guy who likes his girls hot, his friends close, and things explained. Ergo, when his dream of Tori (love interest) and Dustin (friend) is intruded upon by Adam, he wants to know why.

Then came the idea of a six-parter; each Ninja Storm getting a semi-original MMPR character.

Blake/Adam - came from wanting to see them interact. My main active story with Adam as a main and with Ninja Storm just mentions Blake, and the two of them won't connect until the last few paragraphs of NiT, if at all. Sets up the fic - someone asked for help and the Powers That Be answered.

Cam/Billy - seems rather self-explanatory to anyone knowing the fandoms. The original smart guy, melding with the tech guy. Also a slight commentary on how Shane seems to be a little less suicidal-martyr than the previous Red Rangers. Furthers the idea of someone asking for help; with it not being Cam or Blake.

Hunter/Tommy - this was very much because of NiT. I originally wrote a lot more between these two (another scene of Hunter confronting Tommy over hurting Dustin) but it never got posted. I think having a rather laidback White-Ranger-era-Tommy hurt that scenario a bit, so I scrapped it. Especially with Hunter being such an alpha male and not wanting help, I needed to get a good sounding board who guides, more than helps, and gives an alternative rather than a fix. With everything Hunter had gone through, nightmares seemed to be a certainty and with his talents based in the physical, I thought he might have needed some help in the way of controlling his mind. And again, not Hunter, Cam or Blake.

Now, there are semi-spoilers ahead, so to anyone wishing to read the rest of the series to be surprised, you should probably stop reading.

Tori/Aisha - Aisha is one character that I cannot seem to handle. Point of Impact being a prime example. Quite honestly, I hate that story. I wanted one story to tackle homophobia and by God, I screwed that up. And the main issue that I had planned for this seems way too close to the one I plan for Part 6 (being the only girl and dealing with five rowdy boys). So not Tori, Hunter, Cam or Blake.

Shane/Rocky - okay. So this must be crack speaking. But even so; I have faith in this one. But it needs to be fifth, false ideas of Shane being the one to ask for help. Semi Hunter/Tommy-ish, what with a leader-esque conversation - more of "a leader needs to know when to be a leader and a follower" type of thing. I know Rocky was never leader, but even so...I don't know. It was a little bit default what with no one left to go with Shane, but still. Maybe it can be a fight scene. Not action, fight scene. Maybe if I get some action happening here, it'll inspire me into writing more NiT action.

Dustin/Kim - finale. Dustin asked for help on keeping the team together - mentioning all the problems confronted in the last few chapters. He's the listening post; despite being the flake he still notices things like Blake's uncertainty, Cam's detachment, Hunter's guilt and blame, Tori's...something, and Shane's self-doubt. Hopefully fade out on Zordon, or the MMPR waking up and imagining Zordon saying thank you.
